The nostalgic influence has informed not only the colours of the sneaker, but the materials used, lifted from ASICS’ archival releases. A retro model from 20 years past, the UP THERE X ASICS GEL-KAYANO™ 12.1 sneaker features updates to the silhouette including glossy panels atop the traditional sneaker mesh.
The GEL-KAYANO™ 12.1 sneaker’s forefoot flex zone also features an update, revising a flat graphic with mesh and fused accents. Underneath, a unique outsole reveals UP THERE’s signature green, whilst Signal Red rubber demarcates the instep.
In line with other GEL-KAYANO™ 12.1 models, the UP THERE X ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1™ sneaker continues to feature the same tooling system from the GEL-NIMBUS™ 17 within its midsole. Originally engineered for comfort during marathons, dual GEL™ technology inserts and a FLUIDRIDE™ cushioning structure help to provide underfoot support and long-lasting comfort.
